TIMED 1 MILE RUNWe will require some extra help for the 1 mile timed run please parents. The juniors will be running around a housing estate with road junctions of which we will require these to be marshaled. NEXT DATE: TBC for 2022 If you are able to help on the nightwe would be very grateful, please let us know in advance. FIELD RUNNING ON TRACK;If we are able to use the track field in the school,we will, but this will depend a lot on the weather and if the field is dry enough. We would use the track for speed running & sprints with some fun games added in. Juniors Woodland Relay The JUNIORS WOODLAND RELAY has previously been successfully held at Escot Park, near Honiton.Due to Covid19 the last event was held in 2019. Please select the "more" tab for the results of this. Unfortunately we have not able to organise the same event since this time but this will be updated should this event be put on in the future. ROUNDERS & TROPHIES: Now an annual event (postponed in 2020 and 2021) at the end of the school year where we hold a game of rounders and there will also be the giving of the Juniors trophies for the year. KILLERTON, SEATON, EXETER, EXMOUTH AND HALDON FOREST PARKRUNS
Parkruns take place every Saturday morning at 9:00am. They are FREE 5KM events and we are lucky to have quite a few locally to us. They are great fun for a range of abilities (aged 11 years upwards, younger than 11 yrs must be accompanied by an adult) and allow someone to do a regular run without taking up too much time from a precious Saturday. To take part you need to register on the website before 6pm on the Friday of the week you want to run. The registration process is simple and once registered you do not need to do so again and you can take part in any of the 80+ Parkruns around the country. The registration leads to printing your own personal barcode which contains your details. You need to take the barcode with you on each run. For more information on each run please see the links below, please note that each run is different and varies in pancake flat to multi-terrain.
Or maybe your junior would prefer a shorter regular run? Parkrun juniors is a FREE 2KM event for juniors only (4-14 year olds). These shorter runs take place every Sunday morning at 9:00am.
