The final round of the Exeter 3k series finished with some great pbs and our juniors
collecting overall category prizes in nearly all the age categories. The end of season awards are for the best 4 position finishes within their age group and our juniors proved that they have been training hard over the winter. Layla Felgate and Becky Matthews took the top awards in their age group with Katie Davey archiving a very respectable 2nd place in the u17 age group. Florance Swan and Lydia Clapp took the 2nd place in very competitive age categories and should be pushing to win it next year. Jack Elsom and Ian Ross were 2nd and 3rd respectively in the largest age group (U13 boys) with Harry Whitley very close in 4th. The under 15 boy’s category was another hard age group with our boys producing some great results. Henry Riddle came home with the 3rd place and Ruben Heeler Frood and Jake Harvey tying for 4th. Our club is the largest participating club in the Exeter 3k series with an average of 16 juniors competing at each event and are all a credit to the club and themselves in the way they compete and support their fellow athletes. |

HONITON HIPPO CALF RUNKILLERTON PARKRUN
If anyone lives within a reasonable distance of Killerton House there is something called a Parkrun that takes place every Saturday morning at 9:00am. It is a FREE 5K event around the Killerton Estate and many junior runners take part.as well as about 90 adults. It is a very good fun event that allows someone to do a regular run without taking up too much time from a precious Saturday. It is a cross-country event so good stamina is required – the slowest Junior one week took 32 minutes so probably walked part of the way. To take part you need to register on the website before 6pm on the Friday of the week you want to run. The registration process is simple and once registered you do not need to do so again and you can take part in any of the 80+ Parkruns around the country. The registration leads to printing your own personal barcode which contains your details. You need to take the barcode with you on each run.
